fdask. That’s me! It’s been my online nickname forever. I started on IRC back in ‘96, and used the nickname wEEn, after the band. Using Netcom’s crummy IRC client, I got my feet wet in the medium and started right into mIRC… scripting, meeting people, it was awesome.
One day I decided to use a new nick, but didn’t know what… I typed a string of random characters with my fingers on the home row, and ‘fdask’ came out. It’s stuck. It’s actually quite unique! If you Google for it, I’m likely to be the only legit result that comes up! Yay me.
