Being unemployed for several weeks had a bit of a negative effect on my pantry. Check it out.

Generic macaroni and cheese, corned beef, and LUNCHEON MEAT. I ate half the can of this luncheon meat stuff last night, and let me tell you, pretty gross! Ever bought really cheap hotdogs, and had those little crunchy bits inside? Not big, but just enough bits of solid in there to make you gag and wonder whats going into it? This is like a pure can of that.

My friend says I should try frying it up, so I might do that. C’mooooooooon payday!

…my dad. One of his favourite snacks was always Dry Roasted Peanuts. Growing up, I remember seeing peanuts more often than any other snack.

I inherited my love of snacking from my father. I think I even picked up his handful technique, which works best with a small snack such as peanuts! Its a tricky maneuver, so bare with me as I explain it step by step.

Using your four digits, thumb straddled outside the serving vessel, scoop up an approximate mouthful sized collection of your snack.

Using the back of your hand as a lid for your finger scoop, lift your hand from the serving vessel and secure the snack.

With snacks secured, turn your palm towards to sky, shifting the snacks into a position closer to where your fingers fold. You don’t want them at the back of your palm. You should be able to make an almost fist with your snacks safely contained.

Rotate your fist perpendicular with the floor, like you are going to swing a hammer, and raise the opening of the side of your fist to your mouth.

Slightly loosen your fist up, allowing the snacks to trickle down into your open mouth.

Definitely one of the more advanced snacking techniques. If you hurt yourself doing it, I take no responsibility.
